Performance Camp Ages 12+
- 2 ballet classes, 2 ballet rehearsals / week
- 2 contemporary classes, 2 rehearsals / week

This course offers serious dance students an intensive three-week dance experience and a week of performances!
Dancers will take ballet classes on Mondays and Wednesdays followed by a rehearsal, and contemporary classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays followed by a rehearsal. One ballet and one contemporary piece of choreography will be set during rehearsals which students will present in the Newport Contemporary Dance Festival alongside professional dancers from around the country and world!
Students will additionally have a dress rehearsal TBD from 5:30pm – 8:30pm and perform four times during the course of the festival July 16 -20.

Beginner Ballet/Ballet 1 Camp Ages 7-10
Dancers will take a daily ballet class and explore other dance subjects such as contemporary, character, dance history, backstage secrets, and improvisation. The week will culminate with an in-studio showcase on the final day, August 1st from 12-1:230. Families, friends, and cameras welcome!
August Camps
Creative Movement ages 3-5
August 3rd-7th 9:30am-11:30am
Especially designed for our youngest dancers, this camp is one of our favorites! Students are guided through a creative movement class, craft, and create their own dances based on our camp theme! Camp is broken into short class segments that provoke learning, creativity and imagination. The week finishes with a heartwarming in studio showcase on the final day (Friday, August 8 at 11:00 am) for friends and family.
Pre-Ballet Camp ages 5-6
August 10th – 14th 9:30am-12pm
Pre Ballet camp is all about fun! Dancers will take a daily pre-ballet class, learn character dance, song & dance, choreography, and craft. Our camp centers around a themed story and encourages young dancers to explore and find their favorite ways to move and express themselves! The week will culminate with an in-studio showcase on the last day (Friday, August 15 at 11:30am). Families, friends, and cameras welcome!

Nutcracker Camp
August 24 – August 28
- Young Children’s Camp 4:00pm – 5:30pm
- Older Children’s Camp 4:00pm – 5:30pm
Let’s get ready to audition! This one week camp is designed to help get students back into dancing shape! Dancers can enjoy an abbreviated ballet class followed by learning choreography from Newport Contemporary Ballet’s A Newport Nutcracker at Rosecliff. On the last day of camp, students will participate in a mock audition designed to help ease nerves and become familiar with the audition process. Auditions for the Nutcracker are in September. Participation in camp is not required to audition and attendance doesn’t require you to participate in our Nutcracker.
